WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Thank you, Fran, for helping us yet again . This is our 3rd dog you have helped us with and I think Teddy has been the hardest . Not wanting to come to us or to be touched, he is now going up to people and letting us touch him. Thanks again!

Fran has been extremely helpful in helping me to understand the "why" of my newly adopted senior dog's behaviors. My new dog has an uncertain past which yielded toy, bed, and food guarding issues, and through Fran's guidance, I've been able to address the problems through simple steps which resulted in positive behavior modifications. I'd encourage pet owners to connect with Fran to help resolve issues for the collective happiness of pets and owners..

Fran has provided such a positive influence in training me and Fenster. She not only has incredible understanding of dog behavior, but is able to put it in terms that I understand, making training so much easier and fun. When Puppy  Fenster was being obnoxious to my senior dog, Fran helped me through that, too. Her positive approach has made it easier for me to understand how to help Fenster be calm and confident.

Logan & Loki

I've been grateful to have Fran working at my side with a number of different dogs for the last 20+ years, each with its own set of issues.  Using positive training, Fran has shown me positive is the way to go, and has skillfully guided me through those frustrating issues.  Most recently, I've brought two sheltie puppies, Logan and Loki, into my home  They are exact opposites in personality, which can be a real challenge.  But with Fran’s help, we are making it through all the ups and downs that come with puppyhood. I will definitely continue to work with Fran to make sure both puppies continue to grow into healthy, happy adult dogs. Thank you SO much, Fran.

Husky

What can I say except that Fran has been awesome and her advice has helped three of my fur babies. Chance went from an over-excited puppy to a calm gentle giant. Willow's energetic behavior has grown calmer, and gets better every day. And yes, I would recommend Fran to anyone who needs help with their dog.

Ollie

Ollie has had a good solid start in life with the kind, knowledgeable direction of Fran. He continues to grow into a calm, solid thinking young man, with the right direction from the beginning. The end result? I can't believe it is the same dog I started with. And I have never had so much fun training a dog. Fran started us with "go to Mom, go to Dad, or Matthew." It has turned into, "Find Mom, Dad, or Matthew." Which then went to  "dinner is ready, go get Matthew." Ollie goes and stands in Matt’s room until he comes down."

Piper

We took our Border Collie, Piper, to Fran for training. Piper is now the most well behaved dog we have had because of her. Piper is social with other dogs, and we often get complimented on her good behavior.  We both have busy schedules, and Fran has always been flexible and worked around what we have had going on. If you are looking for someone who has a lot of knowledge with high energy or herding breeds, Fran is the one for you and your dog!

Meatball & Chonkers

When the opportunity to spend four weeks at the beach came up, how could our family turn it down? The only real problem was how to take care of our two cats while we were away. Thank goodness for Fran. The cats got all the care and attention that they needed. Just as importantly, I never worried about them. I knew that they were being well cared for because I know Fran well enough to know how trustworthy she is and she's a wonderful communicator. If the opportunity for another vacation comes along, I plan to book Fran immediately.

Cleo

Fran has been by my side as I have attempted to train the three Standard Poodles that my family has had over the last two decades. She has guided me in how to teach my dogs basic obedience  training using positive motivational techniques. But most importantly, after hip replacement surgery, she came to my aid to help walk Cleo on icy days when I was healing. She showed me how to handle Cleo when walking her on a leash so that I did not get pulled down and end up having to replace my hip replacement. Fran is definitely my “go to” for any dog needs or concerns.

Bear & Jazzy

We adopted a 4 year old chocolate lab and after the first walk at her new house, it was evident she was never on a leash let alone walked before!  After a few weeks I knew we needed help. I got in touch with Fran and she gave us so much information and was GREAT when working with my girl, Jazzy!  After the first session she was like a different dog. We still continue to work with Fran on other things and she has never let us down. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone that is looking for an amazing trainer!

I can’t thank Fran enough. My Border Collie developed severe sound sensitivity. Fran worked with us & gave me lots of tools to help him overcome his stress and anxiety. Last nite our neighborhood recreational shooting started. (Yes, it’s allowed in my town!) Instead of pacing & running around the house like a terrified lunatic, he came straight to me & was focused, much calmer, and ready to get to work! Thank you, Fran, so much!

Harlee & Hunter

We heard about Fran from a neighbor, who said she was wonderful, when we were looking for some help with our new puppy. We’ve always had dogs, but it's been a while since we had a puppy, and Harlee was a handful. But working with Fran gave us insight into Harlee’s thinking and what we should be doing to be better owners, and we had a better puppy almost immediately.

Then Fran saw Harlee with Hunter, our nine-year old lab, with similar issues, and we learned that we could teach an old dog new tricks. We didn’t realize that many of Hunter’s issues were stress related. Fran gave us the valuable tools we needed to help Hunter become a calmer dog, and they worked.

Our home is now more peaceful, and we are so grateful for Fran. Everyone looks forward to our training sessions.

Daisy & Lynn

Working with Fran was a wonderful experience for us. I’ve got to say that Fran trained us (my husband and I) just as much, if not more so, than Daisy. She gave us the tools to train Daisy using positive reinforcement and common sense, rather than the traditional yelling and saying “NO!” that we’d become accustomed to throughout our lives. What a difference! Not only does Daisy respond, but we feel so much better about ourselves and her for not using those old methods. Thank you Fran for showing us the way!

Shadow

We have had our cat, Shadow, for five years and never had a litter box problem until this past summer. For no reason, or so I thought, she started defecating everywhere BUT in her litter box. After telling Fran about the issue, she gave me a few suggestions to stop the behavior. I already had two litter boxes, which was great, but she suggested I change the litter to a different brand. I also made sure I cleaned the area well and used apple cider vinegar. And Shadow stopped her unwanted behavior!

Ranger

We adopted a German Shepherd named Ranger and couldn’t seem to get his attention or get him to calm down. We decided on private lessons and hired Fran Kramer. Fran was only in our home a short time and surprised us and went over to her. She gave him an unspoken signal and he went down at her feet & seemed the most relaxed he had been in months. He sensed that she spoke “shepherd.” It only took a few lessons, and following Fran’s instructions, we live in harmony with a phenomenal shepherd. I guess we learned to speak “shepherd” too!  George & Linda Kitchen, Saylorsburg, PA

Fran is very easy to work with.  She understands the needs of both dog and owner. Ruffian, our Newfoundland, was 12 weeks old on our first private training. We are pleased we had the opportunity to work with her, both from a personal and professional perspective. How much fun we had. Thank you for the great job!

I had the pleasure of working with Fran for the training of my two Australian Shepherds. They loved their time with Fran and together we all learned that patience, persistence and repetition pay off! “The boys” were calmer and far more content than prior to their time with Fran! Thank you for all your help!

Shiloh

Shiloh and I worked with Fran for 2 years. I love the results! In that time I have gone from having a very unruly dog that paid almost no attention to me to one that is infinitely calmer and responsive. The results have spilled over into everything we do, making being together teamwork and fun.”

Chihuahua

We had no luck housebreaking Minnie Mouse. None at all, but when Fran came to work with us, she taught us all the “in’s and out’s” of what we needed to do for our little girl. It worked like a charm once we did our part as puppy parents.

Mira

Yes, the usual . . . I worked with dogs all my life, yadda, yadda, yadda. Each was different, and Mira is one of the two I have had of my own. I am learning how to work with her. Positive is the way to go. Fran doesn’t ask for anything she herself would not do. If you are looking for someone to train your dog for you and give them back to you, then this isn’t it. If you want to learn how to work with your dog, then this IS it! Questions, no problem, with issues like counter surfing (which we still are working at), you get lots of help. Personal, professional and wonderful! We had gone to a play group at a chain store, which I didn’t realize at the time caused some issues because of the supervisor’s pack mentality. Mira was mouthing, jumping and biting. Happy to say those issues are gone! Which is good, considering that her breed (pit bull) has enough stigma associated with it. We have had three sessions so far and are still going. Being a former pet professional, I can whole heartedly recommend this training. Do yourself and your dog a favor . . . go positive.

Rocky & Josephine.

Positive Motivation works! Especially with a nut like Rocky. Believe me, yelling only made him crazier. I’ve tried that, big mistake. But tasty treats and lots of "good boy's" have a great effect. We’re not perfect (yet), but we’re getting there. Rocky and Josephine and I will definitely have more classes with Fran in the near future. Thanks, Fran, for your guidance.

Sydney was adopted through Sheltie Rescue and arrived at my house afraid of everything and everyone. He was very sweet and loving but never properly socialized. Fran gave me the tools and techniques I needed to help him gain confidence in himself and the world around him.

Oreo

I first met Fran almost 15 years ago. A friend told me about a friend of hers that used Fran to train her dog Sly. She told me about Fran, and I had Fran come to my house and in a matter of minutes Fran had her sitting and behaving herself.  Well, we sure learned a lot about training – all with kindness. Since then Fran has been to our house many times to help train Oreo and me. Fran is a wonderful trainer and someone I really trust with my dog. I only wish I knew her when I had my Miniature Pincher. Thank you so much, Fran.

Thanks to Fran and her behavioral training with my Border Collie, Missy, she no longer chases cars and is now smarter than I am.  Sometimes it seems like a test of who is smarter. THANKS, FRAN!!!!

Gus

My husband Steven and I had the pleasure of working with Fran with our black lab, Gus. We decided to start training when Gus would not walk past a certain “scary” house on our road. But as the sessions progressed, we learned that there was so much more we needed to work on with Gus. Fran was patient and kind throughout the whole process. She listened to all of our questions and concerns and guided us on how to help Gus overcome his fear of the “scary” house. Our training was one of the best decisions we’ve made, not only for Gus, but for ourselves. Now when people ask, ” Is it safe for you to walk your BIG black lab being 5 1/2 months pregnant?, Doesn’t he pull you all over the place?” I just smile and tell them about our wonderful experience with Fran.

I forgot how frustrating and demanding a puppy can be and how much work they require. Thank goodness for Fran and her Puppy Kindergarten and Behavioral Obedience classes. Bibianne is learning to settle down and listen, and I’m learning to be patient again.

Cookie

Fran is the consummate canine communicator, with exquisite skills of interpretation to humans. I am grateful for the day Fran was recommended to me by my veterinarian for dog training many years ago. Cookie, our beagle, started out early with Fran. We are happy to report she is now a well adjusted, sweet and friendly dog that loves people and every dog she meets. Our black and tan coonhound, Duke, then joined our family when his previous owners could not care for him any longer. We called Fran to help us with him for training, as well, and she promptly came up to our home and gave us some fabulous lessons. Months after Fran helped Duke adjust to his new home, we heard some stories of his infamous distructive nature and thankfully, we never saw that side of him! Duke has come a long way in the past year using the training tools Fran gave us, and now we are ready to schedule another appointment to learn even more.

Lucy lost her first home because of her issues with aggression.  After Fran fostered her, I adopted her. We both saw, beneath all of that aggression, there was a good dog.  With Fran’s help and positive training, Lucy has become a sweet, loving sheltie that we both knew she could be.

Neo

I believe that without our positive training sessions I would have had a 130 pound monster on my hands. Instead I have a well-behaved Bullmastiff and a loving family pet. All this training has paid off. I know dog training is a continuous cycle, but after laying a great foundation, the future progress will be much easier and even more fulfilling.

Marley

When we first brought Marley to Fran, he was quite “the barker” and “challenger.” He barked and growled at anyone who passed our house. He would charge from the backyard to the front barking wildly, scaring whoever was in “his” territory. On walks he would bark and pull toward other dogs coming toward us or charge at a dog who was coming up from behind us. But thanks to his positive training with Fran, Marley now barks much less when people pass our house and only occasionally barks at dogs on our walks. Life is so much better. Thank you, Fran, for all your help.

Karen & Honey

We came to Fran to teach our dog, Honey, a rescued pit bull, how to behave better and learned that we were the ones with the behavioral problem! Some things we were too lazy to change but others have improved enormously. Mostly, we learned how Honey thinks and why she behaves the way she does. Now we get along famously.

I’m cute but neurotic. “Aunt Fran” helped me through my fears, and gave my mom lots of helpful tips to continue my training. I’m not 100% yet, but I’m working on it!
